I was just wandering when the next book (6) int the savanna vampire series will be out or if you are going to write one. Really enjoyed the books twice and would like to read the next one.

Hi, Nikki. Thank you so much for posting. Unfortunately, Ballantine hasn't renewed my contract for the books. I will finish the series even if I have to publish it myself, but I havn't had time to do much work on the next book because I've had to move on to paying work. I will finish it one day, though! If you sign up for the newsletter, I'll let you know when it's available.

Ms Hart,

OMG.. please keep writing this series. It is the best I have read and cannot imagine not ever reading about William and Jack ever again. I have read alot of vampire books but yours is the best of the best! I cannot believe you were not renewed. How rude! Geez, if there is anything that I could do for you please let me know. Thanks and good luck!

Ms Hart,

I finished reading book #5 last week, but only after I had raved to a friend how great they were and already had her started on the series. I am now furious with Ballantine, as I'm sure my friend will be with me, lol.

I'm an avid paranormal/fantasy/supe reader.
It is very difficult to find a supe series that has good non-romantic relationships. I'm with Foxbrood, if there is anything we can do??? Maybe a fan based letter writing campaign? There is obviously too much story left to be untold.

Thanks, Vampy! I'm gratified that you would consider writing a letter to the publisher on my behalf. I'll ask my agent if she thinks it would do any good and let you guys know.

Thanks againg for posting!

Ms Hart,
If I had the $$$ I would give it to you in a heartbeat if it meant that the series could go on. When I wrote you last I was still on the 4th book. I have finished the last one and it pains me as if you were one of my family that you may not be able to fulfill your loyal readers in a timely manner. I am true to you when I say that it is THE BEST book I have read... EVER!

I feel as though the publishers have also kicked me like the way Will and Diana did twords the end of book 5 to our beloved Jack.

I just felt the need to let you know how I felt. This story must be told to the end.

Thank you for being a brilliant writer and sharing your thoughts with the rest of the world.

Ms Hart,

I have thoroughly enjoyed your Savannah Vampire series. Your creativity is outstanding and your stories are truely one of a kind. If there is anything I can do, as one of your biggest fans, to help you get another book deal (letters, petitions,etc.). I would be happy help.

I'm anxiously awaiting book 6 as I reread the first 5 again! Best of luck to you!

Just wanted to let you know that my daughter finished reading the Savanna Vampires Series and she loved it! You have another fan!

I think you should send all your reviews from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and the comments here that were so great, (the main reason I chose to read your vampire series) and send them to your publisher. You most definitely have a following of readers that have thoroughly enjoyed your books so don't give up!

From an ardent fan!

I've been stopping by this iste pretty regularly, and was saddened to see the news posted in the comments of this entry--especially given the cliffhangers in the most recent novel.

I truly enjoy the Savannah Vampire novels and look forward to more in the series. No matter if it's a new publisher or self-published, I'm definitely waiting around for the next installment, no matter how long it takes to reach the readers.

Please keep us posted about any developments, and please keep writing.

Angela, sorry about those cliffhangers! If I'd only known the promised contract wouldn't materialize, I wouldn't have left those threads unconnected. But I'll finish the next book asap, I promise! Thanks for posting!

Ms Hart,
I just wanted to let you know how much both myself and my mum have enjoyed the Savanna Vampire series!! The adventure and the humour infused throughout makes it undoubtedly the best vampire series I have ever read.
I regularly check to the site to see when the next installment is due out and was saddened to find out that the contract wasn't renewed.
If there is anything I can do to highlight that there is a worldwide demand for your stories(we live in Scotland), please let me know and I shall start scribbiling some letters!!

These books are some of the best I have ever read! My husband and I read them together and have our own little "book club" to discuss them. The 4th and 5th books we had to buy 2 copies because we kept fighting over who would read them first! LOL There must be something the readers can do on your behalf to keep this series going!! It is a beautiful world you have written and I love spending time it. Thanks so much for sharing these wonderful characters with us!

Thank you so much, sgordon! Your post has made my day. :-) I've got a couple of ideas for how to continue the series and I hope they pan out soon. I'll let you guys know. You're all so nice to email and post here about the books. It makes me feel good that y'all care about Jack and his world.

Raven, I just finished Book five and came searching online to see when book 6 was out. My daughter found the first couple of these books by accident, second hand I believe, got hooked and ordered the last one off Amazon. Now I'M hooked! I hope you can get another book done. Is there anyone in particular that fans could write to that might help get the ball rolling for you? I really hope you can finish this series!

Thanks, Shay! Thanks so much for posting! I'm unsure about a write-in campaign. I promise I'll finish the series, though. I've got a new job and having to be creative about finding time to write, but I'll get it done asap.
Thanks again!

I was devestated to hear that Ballantine had not renewed your contract for this series. I finished the last book in the series the week it was released. I've been looking forward to the next book for a while. Checking both Amazon and Borders periodically hoping to find it. It wasn't until I checked your website did I find out the horrible news. Everything happends for a reason and I'm sure you will continue to find success with the series when/if you decide to self publish. I for one will be looking forward to reading more from you in the future.

Dear Ms Hart,

I have read and re-read the savannah vampires series several times and still finding every single page exciting and enchanting each time. I also have my friends, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, and my clients all hooked on the series. All we ever talk about is how big of a shame it is that you have to work and can't finish the series as of yet. They were the lucky ones in that they didn't have to wait the six months in between books before they came out, where as I sat in agony double and triple checking on the release dates. I want to thank you for having such a creative perspective during the whole series and will anxiously wait for the series to continue. Dont rush yourself...we've all been waiting this long and can only imagine what you have in store for all the charecters!!

Like all the other posters here I was totally hooked on this series from book 1! I have never seen such and amazing collection of characters in one series of novels even the villains are enthralling and engrossing in their complexity and ingenuity.

If any sort of letter/email/petition writing campaign will help spur Ballantine or any other publisher to pick this up I will be happy to participate. Perhaps Baen Books might be a possible publishing choice as SciFi/Fantasy etc. is their specialty.

I, my wife and my daughter are all breathlessly awaiting the next installment.

Thanks, Harold! I have actually come up with a cunning plan that I will shortly lay out before everyone. I'll start a new blog topic about it soon, as soon as I work out the details. Right now I'm getting ready to go to the Romance Writers of American conference where I'll be talking up editors. When I get back I'll present the plan for everyone!

Hey Ms. Raven!! Am absolutely in love with all your wonderful characters and story lines....I laughed out loud at so many of Jack's and Werm's situations - Read the whole series and am waiting for the next installment - there MUST be another one or two or...... Is Ballantine the only player in town?! What a bunch of goofs:>( Please - keep writing - you are such a talent and the action/character development and overall fantastic storylines are not to be matched by anyone out there - looking so forward to the ongoing story (and...is there any way you can bring back William with some forgiveness from Renee's grandmama?) a huge fan - Liz P.

I had gone to your website several times but could not find any news until I stumbled on this blog. I, too, am looking forward to book 6. I have recommended your books on several of the Amazon forums that concern vampires. I read lots of vampire books, and yours are just unique. Really love that Jack!

Like others here, I'd be happy to write some publisher to get this book published. Please find the time to get to it!

Well, Raven, I was brought onto the series by my best friend. We both lived in Effingham County just north of Savannah and went to high school there. I now reside in Houston County and she in North Carolina but we both write paranormal and paranormal romances. She and I are each others beta reader hehe. Anywho, I think the series is fantastic! I would love to see more. Sorry to hear about the Ballantine contract. I am glad you are still trying to write it. I know how hard it can be to find the time to write when you have a paying gig lol. I too have that problem. I try to hand write at work and come home and type it up... though it can be frustrating! I have subscribed and hope to hear more soon. Hope the conference went well also!

Thanks, Sharon and Missred! I do appreciate your sentiments. I went to the romance writers conference this past week in Orlando, and while my series isn't really romance, I do get a lot out of the conferences. I'm settling into my new job and finding time to write here and there. Thanks again for writing!

Thanks so much, Seri! I actually have thought of something that might help a little. If everyone would go out and give me the highest possible ratings for each book on Amazon, Barnesandnoble.com and everywhere else you can rate books, that would help. I've learned that editors actually look at that, especially on Amazon.
